DIODE AND PHOTOSENSOR CIRCUIT AND DISPLAY EQUIPPED WITH DIODE

Even number of photodiodes (1, 2) constituting an inventive diode have regions (1a-1c and 2a-2c) wherein the size of each region along a specific direction is not different from the size of a reference diode (5), and the channel width is equal to 1/2 of the channel width (W) of the reference diode (5). The regions (1a-1c and 2a-2c) are laid out in parallel with a specific direction which is parallel with the channel length (L) of the reference diode (5), and the mutual positional relation is line symmetric or point symmetric as a whole. Furthermore, the photodiodes (1, 2) are electrically connected in parallel and serve equivalently to the reference diode (5). Consequently, a structure of a diode wherein the characteristics can be stabilized and the occupation area of the diode can be reduced on a substrate is provided.
