The present invention relates to a correction device for audiovisual data which are contained in data sections of data frames. In order to provide a correction device for audiovisual data which can generate a sequence of error-free data frames, the correction device is set up to receive the data frame, to carry out a check in order to determine whether the data section (5) containing audiovisual data is defective, and to output an alternative frame if the data section (5) containing audiovisual data is defective.
