<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a honeycomb structure which can produce a honeycomb structure having characteristics similar to those of a honeycomb structure produced by the conventional method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a honeycomb structure where a silicon carbide raw material composition is formed, so as to produce a columnar honeycomb formed body in which many cells are arranged in the longitudinal direction separated with cell walls, thereafter, the honeycomb formed body is subjected to degreasing treatment, so as to produce a honeycomb degreased body, and further, the honeycomb degreased body is subjected to firing treatment, so as to produce a honeycomb structure composed of a porous silicon carbide sintered compact, the silicon carbide raw material composition at least includes silica powder and carbon powder and/or a carbon source polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
