<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropically formed powder capable of easily preparing at a low cost, and using as a template when preparing a crystal oriented ceramic, and a method of manufacturing a crystal oriented ceramic using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to an anisotropically formed powder composed of a polycrystal having a main phase of an isotropic perovskite-type compound to use as a template for preparing a crystal oriented ceramic in which pseudo-cubic ä100} planes composing the polycrystal are oriented, and to a method of manufacturing the crystal oriented ceramic using the same. The anisotropically formed powder comprises anisotropically formed oriented particles in which oriented planes are formed by developing ä010} planes. The oriented particles comprise a laminar compound represented by general formula (1): A<SB>4</SB>B<SB>6</SB>O<SB>17</SB>, or general formula (2): AB<SB>3</SB>O<SB>8</SB>, wherein the A site element is at least K as a major constituent, and the B site element is at least Nb as a major constituent in general formulae (1) and (2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
