DIE STRUCTURE FOR MOLDING CORE AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING VENT PLUG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die structure for molding a core and a method for positioning a vent plug with which the vent plug can surely be positioned and held to the normal position on the die for molding the core.

SOLUTION: The vent plug 8 is positioned in the height direction by abutting the opening hole part end surface 13a of the vent plug 8 on the criterion surface 15 of a height adjusting member 9 set to the vent plug fitting part 4 in an upper die 1 of the die for molding the core. At the same time of this positioning, the vent plug 8 is positioned on the criterion surface 15 by internally contacting the bottom part 12 in the based part 10 of the positioning member 5 with the opening hole part 13 of the vent plug 8. Therefore, to the upper die 1, the vent plug 8 can be positioned at high precision.
