<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating apparatus capable of stabilizing motion of a compressor in starting while increasing a degree of freedom in adjusting multiple compression type refrigerant circulating amount in the refrigerating apparatus in which a working refrigerant is brought into a supercritical state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: First intermediate cooling pipes 61, 62 allow a refrigerant discharged from a first compression element 303c to be sucked to a second compression element 303d. A first intermediate cooler 60 cools the refrigerant passing through the first intermediate cooling pipe 62. A second intermediate cooling pipe 72 allows the refrigerant discharged from a third compression element 304c to be sucked to a fourth compression element 304d. A second intermediate cooler 70 cools the refrigerant passing through the second intermediate cooling pipes 71, 72. Suction-side piping 302a branches the refrigerant passing through a use-side heat exchanger 6, and guides the refrigerant to a suction-side of the first compression element 303c and a suction side of the third compression element 304c. Discharge-side piping 302b allows the refrigerants flowing out from a discharge side of the second compression element 303d and a discharge side of the fourth compression element 304 to join, and guides the refrigerant to a heat source-side heat exchanger 4.
