A method of transmitting data in a communication network is provided, wherein the method comprises transmitting a data packet comprising a first plurality of pilot data and a second plurality of payload data a first time, receiving an indication signal indicating whether the data packet is decodable on the receiving side, and, in case that the indication signal indicates that it is determined that the data packet is not decodable, initiating a retransmission of the data packet comprising a third plurality of pilot signals, wherein some of the pilot signals of the third plurality of pilot signals are formed by converted payload data of the second plurality of payload data.
