<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive gas sensor excellent in responsiveness of the sensor and wetting resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A protector 151 of the gas sensor 101 is formed into double structure. An outer cover part 173 includes an outer cylindrical part 175 having an outside gas introducing window 176, and an outer tip vent hole 179, and an inner cover part 153 includes an inner cylindrical part 155 and an inner tip vent hole 159. A tip part 123 of a main metal 121, the outer cylindrical part 175 and the inner cylindrical part 155 constitute an inner gas introducing passage 191 for making introduced inspected gas flow through between the outer cylindrical part 175 and the inner cylindrical part 155, for making it pass over a rear end of the inner cylindrical part 155 in a tip side of the tip part 123 of the main metal 121, and for guiding it to a cavity between the inner cover part 153 and a tip part 105 of the gas sensor 103. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
