METHOD OF SHIFTING DIRECTION OF ELECTRONIC MAP AND CAUSE EVENTS BY USING CURSOR ON THE CELLULAR PHONE

PURPOSE: A method for digital map movement in a portable phone using a box cursor and a method for inducing an event are provided to freely perform the moving, reducing, and enlarging function in the digital map by using a keypad of the portable phone. CONSTITUTION: A screen display unit(201) displays the map of close area to a user on a initial display screen. The location information of the user is determined by the initial setting value or the GPS information according to the service using method. The size of the box cursor is set with the base value according to the setting value. The enlargement key '#' of the box cursor reduces the box cursor. The box cursor is reduced and enlarged from the size of 1 division to 25 divisions.
