Disclosed is a compound of Formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate, solvate, N-oxide, enantiomer, diastereomer, or tautomer thereof, or a racemic mixture comprising said enantiomer and/or diastereomer wherein: A and B are each independently C1-3 alkylene optionally substituted with 1 to 4 substituents selected from the group consisting of C1-3alkyl, C1-4alkoxy, carboxy, cyano, C1-3haloalkyl and halogen; D is N-R2; E is N, C or CR4Æ V1 is a bond, W is NR5, O, S, S(O), or S(O)2; or W is absent; Q is NR6, O, S, S(O) or S(O)2; X is N or CR7; Y is N or CR8; and wherein the rest of the substituents are disclosed within the specification. Also disclosed is that the above compounds are modulators of glucose metabolism and are useful in the prophylaxis or treatment of metabolic disorders and complications thereof, such as, diabetes and obesity.
