Disclosed is a light emitting unit with a lens wherein a plurality of LED elements emitting light of different colors are provided in order to enable narrow-angle light distribution while enhancing color mixing properties. The light emitting unit (10) with a lens comprises a plurality of LED elements (12 (12A-12D)) disposed on a substrate (11) and emitting light of different colors, and a lens unit (13) in the shape of a rotating body which delivers lights from the LED elements (12) while mixing the lights. With regard to an arbitrary contact (P1) of the lateral plane of incidence (14c) and the upper plane of incidence (14d) of the lens unit (13), a diffusion angle of an exit plane (14a) inside a circle (C1), which is formed by continuously connecting the points of intersection (P2) of the exit plane (14a) and an optical path (L1) that is formed by refracting at the contact (P1) light from the LED element (12A) remotest from the contact (P1), is set larger than a diffusion angle of an exit plane outside the circle (C1). Consequently, narrow-angle light distribution is enabled while color mixing properties are enhanced.
