<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency induction heating apparatus which is suitably used for high-frequency induction heating while moving relatively at least a coil portion or a heated member along the irregular surface of the heated member, and a method of high-frequency induction heating using the same apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The high-frequency induction heating apparatus is characterized in bending at least one end portion in the length direction of a ring coil portion 4 having a dimension of length larger than that of width on one side of thickness direction of the coil portion 4. Both end portions of the length direction of the coil portion 4 may be bent to one side of the thickness direction of the coil portion to an intermediate portion 42.
