<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a controller part simply and at a low cost, to prevent soaking of an edge part of a printing image from occurring, and to carry out high-quality inkjet recording regardless of kinds of media to be recorded. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder of a line type which prints recording information includes a sealer coater of an inkjet system which preliminarily applies a sealer to a recording information printing part. In a method for applying the sealer in the inkjet recorder which forms data exclusive for application recording for applying the sealer by software processing on the basis of printing information recording data, a mask for detecting an edge extracted is laid under a layer of the printing image, and the sealer is applied over to the outside of the edge part of the printing image on the basis of mask information extracted from software.
