<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact imaging lens having four lenses having satisfactory optical characteristics, where various aberrations are properly corrected. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The imaging lens is constituted by arranging, in order from an object side: a diaphragm; a first biconvex lens having positive power; a second meniscus-shaped lens with a convex surface facing the object side, having negative power; a third meniscus-shaped lens with a convex surface facing the image side, having positive power; and a fourth meniscus-shaped lens with a convex surface facing the object side, having negative power. The imaging lens satisfies the following conditional expressions (1) to (4): (1)-0.95<f1/f2<-0.60, (2) 4.00<f1/d1<10.00, (3) 2.80<f3/d5<5.20, (4)-10.00<f4/d7<-3.00, wherein f1 is focal length of the first lens, f2 is focal length of the second lens, f3 is focal length of the third lens, f4 is focal length of the fourth lens, d1 is center thickness of the first lens, d5 is center thickness of the third lens, d7 is center thickness of the fourth lens.
