<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a xenon discharge lamp lighting device making a xenon discharge lamp to be stably lit, and with a whole lighting fixture of the lamp miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: The xenon discharge lamp lighting device includes an electric current control means 25 making the xenon discharge lamp 2 to be conducted by dielectric breakdown, and after the electric current value flowing in the xenon discharge lamp is enabled to be controlled, reducing the electric current value up to an electric current value at regular lighting by an electric current value which is lower than that to be given beforehand, and with a longer duration than that to be given beforehand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
