Disclosed are: a powdery apatite/collagen complex which can be absorbed in and substitute for an autogenous bone in vivo; a shape-formable artificial bone paste, which is characterized by comprising a powdery apatite/collagen complex and a binder; a method for producing a powdery apatite/collagen complex by producing droplets of a suspension containing a fibrous apatite/collagen complex and cooling the droplets rapidly; and a method for producing a powdery apatite/collagen complex by granulating a kneaded material containing a fibrous apatite/collagen complex.
