<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve the failure that it becomes difficult to view a compass by backlight when turning to a water surface or when lighting an illumination along a cleaning object surface of a cultured fish net or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The underwater cleaning robot includes: a robot body 2 moving along the surface of a cleaning object N existing in the water; and a cleaning nozzle unit 3 provided in the robot body and cleaning the cleaning object by jetting high pressure water toward the surface of the cleaning object. The robot body is provided with an underwater camera 70 for imaging the front part of the robot body, and the compass 80 disposed inside the visual field range of the underwater camera and indicating an orientation.
