PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-window display control method in which a user can select and change the display to his/her desired window quickly with an intuitive operation.

SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus which performs multi-window display control includes a window change unit 102 to search among windows displayed on the screen for a window which at least partially overlaps an area identified based on a designated position and to change the display of the found window so that the found window will be sequentially displayed in the foreground on the screen.
