<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a touch panel for varying detection resolution on the detection region of a touch panel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a touch panel having a pair of substrates with electrodes on opposite surfaces and a display panel arranged on the backside of the touch panel. Each of the pair of substrates is composed of resin, and the electrode of one substrate of the pair of substrates is a plurality of metal wirings formed on the resin, and extended in a first direction, and the electrode of the other substrate of the pair of substrates is a plurality of second metal wirings formed on the resin, and extended in a second direction different from the first direction, and the touch panel is divided into a plurality of regions whose detection resolutions are different. The plurality of first metal wirings is divided into a plurality of regions whose detection resolutions are different, and the wiring pitch of the first metal wirings is made wider according as the detecting resolution of the region is low, and the plurality of second metal wirings are divided into a plurality of regions whose detection resolutions are different, and the wiring pitch of the second metal wirings is made wider according as the detecting resolution of the region is low.
