<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card achieving high speed data transmission while compatibility with conventional memory cards is secured and having an element for data storage inside. <P>SOLUTION: The memory card (20) is provided with a storage element storing information and has a contact pad group for inputting/outputting an electric signal on information which is to be recorded in the storage element or information that is read from the storage element at a front end in a length direction.
