<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum evaporation recovery method and apparatus which materialize simple and highly efficient heating evaporation recovery work of valuable metal by separating a recovery part for an evaporated matter and a storage place for a recovered matter from each other into individual parts thereby improving treatment efficiency, and by sufficiently increasing the size of a storage container thereby reducing replacement frequency of the container resulting in saving of time and labor for the replacement. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vacuum evaporation recovery apparatus subjects a valuable metal-containing treatment article to heating evaporation treatment under the reduced pressure in a vacuum furnace 1 using a reducing gas or without using the same to recover the valuable metal. The apparatus is seperatedly equipped with a recovery tube 2 which is installed in the vacuum furnace 1 as an accessory and which allows evaporated metal generated by the above treatment to be adhered and deposited thereto and recovers the valuable metal, and a storage container 4 storing the recovered metal recovered in the recovery part 2, heated, and peeled off therefrom, the recovery tube 2. The recovery tube 2 includes heater layers 5, 6 provided downward at the lower face of the vacuum furnace 1, and the storage container 4 is carried in to the lower part of the recovery tube 2.
