<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which is excellent in display quality, is produced with narrow variation, is inexpensive and has aging stability. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film has a hard coat layer 2 which is formed from a thermosetting and/or ionizing radiation-curing resin and an inorganic oxide fine particle and has 3-30 μm thickness. The inorganic oxide fine particle 3 is composed of a silica-based core part and a covering layer which consists of a silica-based compound oxide based on silica and an oxide of a group 4 metal or a group 14 metal other than silicon in the periodic table and has ≥0.03 μm thickness. The inorganic oxide fine particle 3 has 1.60-1.90 refractive index, 1.1-10.0 μm average particle size and ≥0.8 circularity obtained from images photographed by using an electron microscope. The covering layer contains 22-70 mol% of an oxide of the group 4 metal or the group 14 metal other than silicon in the periodic table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
