<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which can prevent image detection accuracy from decreasing due to superimposed display of information added to a subject image. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device 1A is equipped with a sub-imaging-element 7 which obtains a photographed image related to a subject image, a subject detection unit 122 which performs subject detection operation to detect a specific subject from the photographed image, a superimposition display element 66 which superimposes the added information to the subject image for display, and a display element control unit 124 which controls the superimposed display by the superimposition display element 66.
