The headrest has a guidance part e.g. slot (18), guided into a lower region of sections (22) of headrest rods (20) and comprising a guiding surface, which is inclined opposite to the sections of the headrest rods. The guiding surface is guided to a transverse rod of a bracket. An impact plate (10) comprises a guide that is spaced from a pivoting axis (16). The guide guides a pivoting movement of the impact plate around the axis such that the impact plate is maintained in an angular position against the bracket during movement of the plate from a rest position into an accident position.
