INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display system capable of quickly and reliably transmitting information without burdening an instructor and an operator with presenting and receiving information.

SOLUTION: The information display system includes a head-mounted image display device (HMD) having a display unit displaying an image based on image data and capable of seeing through the outside, and an information providing device for providing the HMD with image data. The information providing device has a tag information adding part for adding tag information indicating the urgency of the image data, to the image data. The HMD has a tag information analysis part for analyzing the tag information; a shutter for adjusting the quantity of external light transmitted through the display unit; and a shutter driving part for controlling driving of the shutter. The shutter driving part controls driving of the shutter to lower the quantity of external light transmitted through the display unit when the tag information analysis part discriminates that the image data is urgent data.
