<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which can be prepared at low cost by effectively utilizing polyester rope scrap. <P>SOLUTION: Staple fiber with fiber length of 0.1 to 3 mm generated by pulverization of polyester rope in an amount of 1 to 15 parts by weight is compounded with 100 parts by weight of at least one of chloroprene rubber and ethylene-α-olefin elastomer. Compounding staple fiber generated by pulverization of polyester rope can improve processability and inhibit development of cracking and the like. Such staple fiber can effectively utilize pulverized polyester rope scrap and produce rubber composition at low cost without requiring the additional use of nylon staple fiber or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
