PACKING AND PROTECTING MEMBER OF HOOD FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight of a protecting member protecting a corner part of a hood, and to provide a packing and protecting member of the hood for an automobile with which the hood is exactly packed by increasing holding strength. SOLUTION: The protecting member 10 supporting and protecting two right and left acute angle corner parts on the window side of the hood with slant support parts includes: a support base which forms a gently slant surface on one side and a steeply slant surface on the other side when a corrugated cardboard is folded in half, and has a gently slant surface-protecting part protecting the gently slant surface and a steeply slant surface-protecting part protecting the steeply slant surface on both the slant surfaces respectively; support parts placed on both the slant surfaces of the support base; and a body-accommodating part 14 assembled by connecting the support base and the support part to accommodate the support body 13.
