PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the arranging space for a headrest operating apparatus equipped with an erroneous operation preventing structure, which is arranged in a seat back. SOLUTION: In the seat back 2, a pressure receiving mechanism 20 which senses the occurrence of a vehicle rear collision as a mechanical operation moving amount being pushed by the back section of a seated person is arranged. The mechanical operation moving amount which has been sensed by the pressure receiving mechanism 20 is transmitted to a mechanism which moves the headrest through the operation of an operating cable 40, and thus, the headrest is operated. The operation of the operating cable 40 is performed by a connecting arm 23 which is interlocked with the motion of the pressure receiving mechanism 20. The connecting arm 23 moves on a non-operating path wherein the operating cable 40 is not operated prior to the occurrence of the vehicle rear collision. However, the operating track is switched in such a manner that the connecting arm 23 may move on an operating path wherein the operating cable 40 is operated when the vehicle rear collision has occurred.
