PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the order of reception with a degree of interest in a robot of each person taken into consideration when a plurality of persons to be received are present in a reception system or a reception method through the use of the robot. SOLUTION: The reception system 1 for receiving a person present in a predetermined region by a robot capable of autonomously moving in the region comprises an imaging means 20 for collecting image information in the region, a degree-of-interest determining means 23 for determining the degree of interest in the robot of the person present in the region based on the image information collected by the imaging means 20, and a reception scheduling means 25 for determining the order in which the robot attends the person present in the region based on the degree of interest determined by the means 23.
