PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera apparatus and digital camera system capable of performing photographing, that the prior art could not perform, by storing an image other than a physically visible target in place of a photographed image in accordance with the situation of a place, or photographing and recording a still picture/motion picture obtained by combining the photographed image with a prepared image. SOLUTION: A photographer 2 takes a digital camera 1 at the ready and uses it to photograph an exhibition object 3 such as a picture. An infrared beam, modulated with a specific signal is emitted from a transmitter 4 installed on the exhibition object 3. The digital camera receives the signal and reads from a flash memory part a still picture/motion picture, corresponding to the specific signal, to be recorded in place of the photographed image or to record an image, obtained by combining the read still picture/motion picture with the photographed image, as a recording image.
