PURPOSE: A system for inputting a character using a motion sensor and a method thereof are provided to convert a character input mode by rolling a character input device and point the character input device to easily input characters. CONSTITUTION: A system for inputting a character using a motion sensor and a method thereof include a display device(300), a character input device(100), and a user terminal(200). The display device displays an on screen keyboard on a screen. The character input device provides a control signal for controlling character input to a user terminal using a motion sensor.
