PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base carrier of construction machinery capable of preventing the direct collision of relatively large rocks etc. with a protective cover for oil hydraulic pipes mounted to a center frame and preventing damage to the oil hydraulic pipes due to the deformation of the protective cover for oil hydraulic pipes thereby. SOLUTION: A hydraulic motor 8 for traveling is mounted to a rear end part of a crawler frame 4 joined to both right and left sides of the center frame 3. The oil hydraulic pipes 15 connected to the hydraulic motor 8 for traveling are arranged at a rear end part of the center frame 3. The protective cover 18 for oil hydraulic pipes are mounted to the center frame 3 in such a way as to cover the oil hydraulic pipes 15 in the base carrier 1 of construction machinery. A rear end surface 11a of a lower plate 11 constituting a bottom surface part of the center frame 3 is positioned on the rear side by a distance D from the outermost position on the rear side of the fore and aft direction of the protective cover 18 for oil hydraulic pipes.
