<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability of an emulator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A switching control part 72 determines whether a command from a recording and reproducing device 62 is a command for a drive 63 or not. The switching control part 72 controls a switch 73 so that a terminal 82 and a terminal 83 are connected when it is determined that a received command is the command for the drive 63. Also the switching control part 72 controls the switch 73 so that the terminal 82 and the terminal 81 are connected when the received command is not the command for the drive 63 when it is determined that the received command is a command for HDD 52.
