The device has an X-ray source for irradiating continuous X-ray (6). An X-ray detector is utilized for detecting an X-ray from the continuous X-ray of the X-ray source and penetrated through a filter (3) and a resin sheet (2). Another X-ray detector is utilized for detecting another X-ray penetrated through a filter (4) and the resin sheet. A control part is utilized for sorting the resin sheet based on detecting data of the X-rays. The filters are utilized as a conveying device for moving the resin sheet. An independent claim is also included for a sorting method for sorting resin sheets according to existence of bromine.
