<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas concentration detector capable of detecting the mixed concentration of steam and carbon dioxide in a reducing atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 61 discriminates whether an atmosphere is an oxidizing atmosphere or the reducing atmosphere, controls a constant voltage circuit 3 when the atmosphere is discriminated to be the reducing atmosphere to apply a voltage of 0.3-0.8V across an electrode 22A being an anode and an electrode 22B being a cathode so that the current flowing across the electrodes 22A and 22B is saturated to detect the mixed concentration of steam and CO<SB>2</SB>in the reducing atmosphere on the basis of the output current at this time. The CPU 61 controls the constant voltage circuit 3 when the atmosphere is discriminated to be the oxidizing atmosphere and applies a voltage of -0.3 to -0.8V to the electrode 22A being the anode and the electrode 22B being a cathode so that the current flowing across the electrodes 22A and 22B is saturated to detect the concentration of H<SB>2</SB>on the basis of the output current at this time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
