<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a pressed and wall-thickened product, capable of enhancing a freedom degree of the shape of a rising part to be wall-thickened. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A metal mold 3 used for manufacturing a pressed and wall-thickened product 2 includes: a knockout 4 for receiving the body part 1a of a workpiece 1; a plate presser 5 for pressing halfway a rising part 1c that rises slantingly outside from the body part 1a; a wall-thickening punch 6 for pressing down the front end of the rising part 1c; and a die 7 for receiving the rising part 1c. The die 7 is movable in the direction of an axial center 1b relative to the knockout 4 and the wall-thickening punch 6. In the method for manufacturing a pressed and wall-thickened product 2, the die 7 is pushed by the rising part 1c, which is being wall-thickened, without being pushed by the wall-thickening punch 6 and moved relative to the knockout 4 in the step of pressing down the front end of the rising part 1c with the wall-thickening punch 6 to depress the rising part 1c, so that a distance between the plate presser 5 and the die 7, by which the rising part 1c is sandwiched, is widened.
