<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure obtaining the power of a handrail driving device from a step chain towing steps, which can be disposed in an escalator truss even if the chain pitch length of the step chain is extended to a distance between pitches coupling the steps. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The driving force transmission device comprises a plurality of sprockets engaged with the step chain, a synchronously driving means driving the plurality of the sprockets in the same phase, and a power transmitting means transmitting power for feeding a handrail.
