PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for HIV-15'LTR/gag gene deletion, which contains ginseng is provided to induce deletion in HIV-1 5'LTR or gag gene and prevent and treat AIDS. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for HIV-15'LTR/gag gene deletion contains ginseng as an active ingredient. The ginseng is red ginseng. The composition is administered to a patient who is infected to HIV-1 in the dose of 50-100 mg/kg/day for man and 20-70 mg/kg/day for woman.
