<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying water leakage prevention work promptly to the mouth of a tube, even when an out-of-specification wire is inserted through the tube. SOLUTION: A method for applying a water leakage prevention work to a tube through which a wire such as an electric power cable or a communication cable is inserted, comprising the steps of ; 1) preparing a cylinder shape water leakage prevention material having an outside diameter little larger than an inside diameter of the tube through which a wire is inserted, and multiple jigs having a through hole which diameter is the same as or little different from an outside diameter of the wire; 2) transporting the water leakage prevention material and the multiple jigs to the site of water leakage prevention work; 3) measuring the actual outside diameter of the wire; 4) selecting a jig having a through hole which diameter is close to but is little smaller than the measured cable outside diameter; 5) making a through hole of the same shape as that of the jig in the water leakage preventing material, using the selected jig; and 6) inserting the wire forcefully through the through hole of the water leakage prevention material.</p> |
