The method involves receiving an image data set depicting a breast (13) with a compression degree of the breast. Another compression degree of the breast is adjusted, and another image data set depicting the breast is received. The image data sets are computationally linked for generating a diagnostic image. One of the image data sets is transformed dependent on a homogenous elastic behavior of the breast in such a manner that elastic variation of the breast resulting from change of the compression degrees is compensated. A difference image data set is determined from the two image data sets. An independent claim is also included for a mammography device including a radiation source, a digital radiation detector, a support plate and a compression plate. |
