PURPOSE: A battery pack having a temperature detection device is provided to cut off current when an arbitrary cell of a battery assembly is overheated by internal short or forcedly over discharge. CONSTITUTION: A battery pack includes a battery assembly(100), a case, a disconnect switch(230), temperature measurement units(200a,200b,200c), and over-discharge cut-off unit(250). The battery assembly comprises plural unit cells(100a,100b,100c) in series or parallel. The case accommodates the battery assembly. A positive output terminal(110a) and a negative output terminal(110b) are installed in the case. The disconnect switch is installed in any one between the battery assembly and the positive output terminal, or between the battery assembly and the negative output terminal. The temperature measurement unit is attached to the unit cell to detect the temperature of the unit cell. The over-discharge cut-off unit is input from user with a reference temperature selected from the range of 60~80°C. |
