[Class 3 (ii).] A road - marking sign comprises a metal block, stud, plate, or the like having a flat, concave, or convex top provided with raised ribs 1 so as to protect the enamel which is applied to the depressed parts 2, 3, 4 between the ribs 1. Enamel may be applied to the whole of the top surface and then wiped, prior to fusing, from the ribs. The stud may be provided with one or more separately-formed or integral stems or other projections for anchoring purposes.
