PURPOSE: A force protection switching method in an Ethernet ring network is provided to maintain a service which is being provided in case an operator temporarily blocks a specific link for maintenance and repair. CONSTITUTION: A force protection switching method in an Ethernet ring network comprises the following steps of: receiving a force switching command(S300); blocking the port of a corresponding link(S310); transmitting a force switching message for showing that the Ethernet ring network is in the force switching state(S320); and flushing a filtering database(S330). |
