DEVICE OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION FOR SEPARATING HEAVY ADMIXTURES OF TUBEROUS ROOTS IN LIQUID FLOW

A device of continuous operation for separating heavy admixtures from tuberous roots in a liquid flow consists of a perforated drum fixed on a shaft by means of spokes with a rotating drive and arranged into a semicylindrical body. On the external and internal surface of the drum band coils of a screw are fixed, and on the side of moving the liquid flow and tuberous roots a wheel for receiving and unloading the admixtures is coaxially fixed to the drum. It has pockets connected to the external and internal hollow of the drum by openings. The circular receiver with pockets is simultaneously an unloader of the admixtures into a tray. A drum with internal coils of the screw is additionally mounted coaxially to the wheel for receiving and unloading the admixtures on the side of moving of the mixture. The coils have the direction which coincides with the direction of moving of the flow of the mixture.
