PURPOSE: An initial rainwater purification device through multi-step process and a purification method thereof are provided to offer easy maintenance and management by comprising components easily. CONSTITUTION: An initial rainwater purification device through multi-step process is installed between a rainwater inflow pipe(13) and an outlet pipe(14). The initial rainwater purification device further includes a settling tank(1), a detail screen(2), a first filter media screen(3), a second filter media screen(4), and a plurality of filters(5). The settling tank precipitates nonpoint pollutants included in the initial rainwater. The detail screen filters floating non-point pollutants included in the initial rainwater. The first filter media screen filters the soluble non-point pollutants and the floating non-point pollutants. The second filter media screen filters the pollutants secondly.
