<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent paper P from being fitted between an arm body 20c and an operation body 56, when a feeding tray 3 is pushed in a housing in a state of protruding the tip of the paper P to the tip. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This image recorder has a feeding roller 20a and the rotatable operation body 56 in a lower end part of the vertically rotatable arm body 20c. When the paper P is not stored in the paper feeding tray 3, the operation body 56 is fitted in an opening part formed on a bottom surface of the paper feeding tray 3, and the feeding roller 20a moves the arm body 20c in the direction for separating from the bottom surface. The image recorder has an engaging claw 70 and a locking part 71 for engaging both in a state of eliminating a clearance capable of making the paper P enter between the operation body 56 and the arm body 20c when pulling out the paper feeding tray 3 from the housing, and also has an abutting piece 60 in a top part of the operation body 56 for releasing engagement by the engaging claw 70.
