PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joined body free of a drop in the joining strength of a joining layer even if the brazing material during machining has got a high temperature above the level to produce the liquid phase, and favorably used as a cutting tool suitable for high-speed machining, CVD coating, etc. SOLUTION: The joined body is formed from a first material to be joined 1 consisting of a cermet sintered substance, and a second material to be joined 3 consisting of cBN sintered substance or diamond sintered substance, wherein the two materials to be joined together are joined with the aid of a joining material 2 interposed between the two materials and not producing a liquid phase below 1,000°C, and the joining is made through current feed heating while pressurization is made with a pressure between 0.1-200 MPa.
