<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchip structure and a sample analysis method in which mass analysis of a separated sample can be performed with high sensitivity without damaging the resolution of a microchip in performing mass spectrometry of the separated sample. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sample collection portion 103 is formed along a channel 102 of the microchip, the sample 108 is separated by the microchip, then the separated result is moved to the sample collection portion 103. Thus, even when a process of dropping solution for breaking the separation state is undergone, mutual components do not mix with each other.
