<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-photon absorption optical recording medium having small signal variation upon recording and playing back with a simple construction when a playback pickup has a confocal system. <P>SOLUTION: In the two-photon absorption optical recording medium which can be played back by the confocal system playback pickup and includes one or more recording layer units on a substrate, each recording layer unit has an organic recording layer and an inorganic intermediate layer, the organic recording layer includes at least (1) a two-photon absorption compound, (2) a polymerization initiator, (3) a polymerizable compound and (4) a polymer binder in a recording material used for a recording layer capable of recording information by simultaneous two-photon absorption and the inorganic intermediate layer has 10 to 95 nm film thickness and ≤5 nm film thickness variation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
