<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DI can forming method capable of avoiding any damage of a film when executing the DI forming with an organic resin film laminate steel sheet as a material, and easily drawing a can body from a punch even when using the conventional DI forming. <P>SOLUTION: The advance angle of an ironing die is set to be≥2°and≤5°. The ironing is performed so as to satisfy the inequality (1); X(n)≤0.0004X(n-1)<SP>3</SP>+0.0025X(n-1)<SP>2</SP>+0.0956X(n-1)+31.1, where X (n)% denotes the thickness reduction ratio from the thickness of an original sheet in the n-th ironing, and the thickness is reduced by the ironing process consisting of a plurality of ironing. X(0)=0. In this condition, the yield strength of a laminate steel sheet is preferably 300-500 MPa.
